Starting this week, My boost payments have dropped from 3.5x to almost nothing even though the “opportunities tab” and map both showed >3.5x Boost at all times (downtown, peak hours). I checked my earnings going back months and this has never happened. I also noticed a drop in the quality and quantity of my orders, not just the price but the locations. They all seemed to be things other riders (this is bicycle delivery) probably rejected.
I called support and they mumbled something about “demand issue” and passed it off to their promotions team. I doubt I’ll ever hear anything back. Doordash, in the mean time, is busier than ever.
What could be happening here?
