Dead Pax? | Uber Drivers Forum VIPLANE

Sunday night, I drove a young (late 20s) woman for 30 minutes to the edge of the metro area. When we arrived at the destination, I said “we’re here”, but got no response. I looked back and saw she was asleep sitting up against the door. So I yelled — no response. Touched her knee — no response. I couldn’t see if she was breathing. So, I got out and opened the back door. Shook her shoulder several times — no response. Began to shake her head — and she finally began to stir.

By then, I was running through “what if” scenarios. We were on a cul-de-sac, and I didn’t know which house was hers. So I might just knock on doors, but no lights to indicate that someone was home. “What if she OD’ed on something?” I’m not trained in CPR. Call 911? I wasn’t familiar with the area, but I assumed a fire station was not too far away.

She was still groggy, but finally gathered her stuff, strewn on the back seat, and went to one of the houses. What would you do with a dead or OD’ed pax?
